Prevention and Absences
-
Illness
-
Always wash your hands with soap and water. When this is not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
-
When sneezing or coughing, use a tissue, your shirt collar or wrap your arm around your head and sneeze/cough into your elbow. This will help prevent the spread of germs.
-
Be sure to keep your child home when he/she has a fever of 100° or higher, is vomiting, or has diarrhea. Do not allow your child to return to school until he/she is fever free for 24 hours without a fever reducer (Tylenol/acetaminophen or Motrin/ibuprofen), unless there is a doctor's note saying otherwise.
-
If you provide the school with an excuse note from the doctor, hospital, or dentist, the absence may be excused.
